Work begins on new Little Caesar's building in Wytheville

Site work on a new Little Caesar’s Pizza building in Wytheville is under way in the Wytheville Commons shopping center. The 1,500 square-foot restaurant with a drive-through window is expected to open by fall.

According to Patrick O’Connell, franchise owner of 19 Little Caesar’s Pizza stores, relocating across the street from the current site in the shopping center will give the business more visibility and allow for drive-through service. He noted the stand-alone store beside the Dollar Tree will also be more convenient.

O’Connell, headquartered in Rocky Mount, reported at least five more employees will be added. He now has around 15 workers.

Store hours are expected to remain the same. Little Caesar’s Pizza is open 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday.

Little Caesar’s Pizza has been in Wytheville since the late 1980s. It has moved several times since then and is now at 214 Commonwealth Drive.

G & H Contractors Inc. of Salem is charge of the construction.
